One Habit you really MUST be rid of !
Do you still suck on cancer sticks? Okay, that may be a harsh way of asking, do you smoke? but it is one that hopefully emphasises the seriousness of the consequences of this 'disgusting habit.' You really do need to Stop Smoking! It sucks!
Surely everyone should by now know, the perils of smoking?
Hopefully your answer to this question is that you do. However, I still see a large number of Americans puffing on cigarettes each and every day. Don't they know it's bad for their health? I mean someone should really let them in on 'the secret'. If you really could ever call it that. Even teen smokers, who maybe are not sure, will know from school or college how bad it is for their health. Your 'second hand smoke' is also dangerous, to others, especially friends and family.

I thought everyone knew that smoking caused 'cancer of the lungs'. and other heart and circulatory problems. Well, if you weren't aware of this well-known fact, then you certainly should. It is now acknowledged to be an indisputable fact. Now, let's consider some of the reasons why you must quit smoking.

Do you want to know what one of the main reasons to quit smoking is? Your breath stinks! It's absolutely true. If you're puffing on a cigarette, cigar, or a pipe, the chances are your breath smells foul. I should know. I once kissed a girl who was a smoker. Sure she was a great looking girl, she was a model, actually. However, at the tender age of only 18, she was already smoking a pack a day.
I really liked her, to me she seemed like my "ideal girl". We were out on our first date and things were going really well. Then we kissed, and the dream 'evaporated'! The nearest description of that 'tender moment', was contact with a 'wet ashtray'! That's pretty much what it tasted like to me. Or it was how I imagined it would taste.
Believe me, it was a very bad experience. I just had to 'kick her to the curb', model girl, or not. It was the end of a possible loving and romantic relationship. So it was certainly, from her point of view, one very major reasons for her to 'quit smoking'.
Skin condition is affected by smoking.
Another one would be that it affects your physical appearance. Yeah, every smoker knows what I'm referring to .
- Your teeth go yellow and get covered with tar. It's not a sight you like to see.
- However, did you also know that it also ruins your skin? Yes, that nasty tobacco smoke destroys the collagen in your skin and leaves you with a 'saggy skinned', wrinkled 'smoker's face'.
- Let's face it, no woman on earth wants that. It's just not attractive.(Men can also do without the 'rugged look')
- The other insidious effect that smoking has on your body sometimes takes years until 'pay back time' finally arrives these complaints are ;
- Shortness of breath, often eventually leading to emphysema which is invariably fatal.
- Toxins contained within the inhaled smoke make it an almost impossible combination of causative effects leading to Lung Cancer. heart disease and other respiratory problems
- Heart disease, again caused by the toxicity of the chemicals in the inhaled smoke
- Hardening of the arteries, the 'terrible blight', caused after many years of cigarette smoking.
- there are more cases of other cancers, for example of the mouth or of the oesophagus, and even stomach cancer, all which are certainly related to and increased by, the Nasty Smoking Habit!

Well, as you probably already know the greatest reasons to quit smoking is for your health. Unless of course you DO want to shorten your lifespan and/or die of cancer, or heart disease and many other smoking related ailments. But remember, It is a very painfully slow but 'inevitable' form of suicide! ....Don't do it!
Quitting smoking is almost certainly the most important single way you can improve your health!
The smoking habit should be ditched immediately. While I think that all of these reasons to quit smoking are valid, my favorite and purely selfish reason concerns myself. Why should I and the rest of the planet have to be exposed to your disgusting habit. Secondary smoking can have it's own serious effects and if they affect your family or loved ones maybe their wellbeing should be considered, even if you don't consider your own.
